about
All money given for this song will go directly to the the Oso Slide Relief Fund
I had a song that I had been working on that didn't really have any direction as far as what I wanted to write it about and then the landslide happened. My brother volunteers at the Oso Fire Station and works along side a fireman who had lost his wife and granddaughter in the tragedy. The name of the song is actually the meaning of his granddaughters name. Her name was Sanoah. Its a Hawaiian name that means Mist In The Mountains. So this is my song to all the families who have experienced the loss of loved ones to the landslide. This is my song to the ones whose lives will forever be remembered whenever we may pass through Oso and we are surrounded by the mist in the mountains.
lyrics
lyrics:
these moments are all
that we have
in the spark of this light
crafted from ashes
and gifted forgiveness for life
some folks are meant to endure and some meant to fly
I've measured them both and it's your love that I can't deny
can't
dear God make it clearer
to me as the years pass me by
my roll, Lord, my purpose and reason that you gave me life
like the mist in these mountains
you've covered me
and you've opened up my eyes
dear Lord guide my steps
through the days
in these desperate times
we're throwing up our hands
and giving you what's left of our lives
raise up, rise out
take heart, sing loud
hope breaks all fear
all doubt fades out now
a time to be born
time to die
a time to tear down
time to fly
a time to mourn
it's time to dance
no I won't blow my
only chance
and I sing on in this romance
